Delicious Star Gooseberry in Sugar Syrup Recipe
Star Gooseberry in Sugar Syrup is an awesome recipe combining the goodness of gooseberries and the sweetness of sugar syrup resulting in a great relish!

- 1 cup Star Gooseberry
- 1 cup Sugar
- 2 pinch Cardamom Powder
- 1 pinch Edible Camphor
Wash the star gooseberry thoroughly in water to remove any dirt. Pressure cook the berries allowing it to cook completely (let 4 to 5 whistles).
Start preparing the sugar syrup while the gooseberries are pressure cooked. Boil one cup of sugar in one cup of water until you achieve "one string consistency".
Move the cooked star gooseberries into the sugar syrup and boil for further 5 minutes.
One the berries are boiled in sugar syrup for 5 minutes, add the cardamom powder and edible camphor and switch off the stove.
That's it! Allow it to cool, store in a clean container and relish as and when required!
