Servings 2 servings
- 6 pieces Tomatoes Fresh, Large and Ripe
- 4 pieces Garlic sliced
- 1 piece Onion chopped
- 4 tbsp Oil to fry
- 1 tsp Oregano Powder
- 1 tsp Basil Powder
- 1 tbsp Red Chilli Flakes
- 2 tbsp Tomato Ketchup
- 1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1/2 tbsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Sugar
Add water into a boiling pan, allow the water to boil and add all the ripe tomatoes into it. Close the lid and allow the tomatoes to boil for 5 minutes so that they are cooked and become soft.
After 5 minutes, remove the tomatoes from the pan and allow them to cool completely.
Once cooled down, peel the tomatoes and remove the center thick portion of the tomatoes as shown. We don't need this because we are making a smooth tomato sauce.Cut the tomato into small pieces.
Add oil to a frying pan and heat. Once hot, add sliced garlic and fry for 2 to 3 minutes until you get the garlic aroma.
Now add the chopped onions, mix well and fry until the raw smell of onion leaves.
Add the tiny cut tomato pieces to the pan now and mix well.
Add salt, oregano, basil, chilli flakes, red chilli powder, sugar and ketchup to the pan with tomatoes and mix well.
Close the lid of the pan and cook for 15 to 20 minutes in medium flame and keep stirring and mixing at regular intervals.
You will know it is done once the oil starts to come aside separately. This means it is devoid of all moisture and the dish is nicely done. Switch off the flame and allow it to cool.
After the sauce is cooled down, add it to a mixer grinder and grind well to make it a paste. If you like the sauce to be a bit coarse, skip this step.Delicious and Succulent Pizza Sauce with Fresh Tomatoes is ready to be spread over your lovely pizza! :)
- It is better to make our sauce. If at all you need to buy, make sure to buy tomato puree and not tomato sauce.
- Make sure the tomatoes are fresh, ripe and big. The quantity becomes lesser once we start thickening the sauce.
- If you are buying tomato puree, make sure to buy a good brand.
