The Mango Falooda is a great Indian Summer Mango Dessert made predominantly with fresh ripe mangoes, ice cream (mango or vanilla), mango puree, mango jelly.

It is almost an all in all mango affair! 🙂

Yes, it has other crucial ingredients like basil seeds, Falooda Sev, and milk, but none of the ingredients overpower the mango taste that you get in this recipe 🙂

The Grand Mango Falooda Recipe - Quench your thirst for taste with this delicious falooda recipe made with fresh mango puree and other awesome ingredients!

Ingredients

  • 5 tbsp Soaked Basil Seeds
  • 3 tbsp Falooda Sev
  • 3 tbsp Mango Jelly
  • 3 tbsp Strawberry Jelly
  • 5 tbsp Cut Mango Pieces
  • 1 cup Boiled and Sweetened Milk
  • 4 tbsp Mango Puree
  • 2 scoops Mango or Vanilla Ice Cream

Instructions

Prepare Soaked Basil Seeds

  1. Take 5 tbsp of Basil Seeds (also called as Sabja Seeds) and soak in a bowl of 200ml water.

    This needs to be soaked for 30 minutes until the seeds swell as shown and then refrigerate for 30 to 45 minutes (optional).

    The Basil Seeds act as a body coolant by nature and adds to the royal feel and gives great texture and look to the Falooda.

Make Falooda

  1. In a glass, add 2 tablespoons Mango Puree.

  2. Add 1.5 tablespoon of soaked basil seeds.

  3. Add 1.5 tablespoon of Strawberry Jelly.

  4. Add 1.5 tablespoon of Mango Jelly.

  5. Add 1.5 tablespoon of Falooda Sev.

  6. Add 1.5 tablespoon of Mango Pieces.

  7. Add 1 tablespoon of Basil Seeds.

  8. Add 1/2 cup of Milk.

  9. Add 1 scoop of Vanilla or Mango Ice Cream.

  10. Add 1 tablespoon of Mango Pieces on top.

Recipe Notes

 

  • Almost all ingredients quantity is your choice. For example, if the mango is not ripe, then make sure the milk is sweeter and vice versa.
  • Feel free to be creative with layering. Since this is a Mango Falooda, typically use muti-mango layers!
  • You can also add Rose Syrup and nuts to this and make it grander!

  • Mango Jelly – 3 tbsp
  • Strawberry Jelly – 3tbsp
  • Cut Mango Pieces – 5 tbsp
  • Boiled and Sweetened Milk -1 cup
  • Mango Puree – 4 tbsp
  • Vanilla Ice Cream or Mango Ice Cream – 2 scoops
