Instructions
  1. Ingredients for your reference. In the picture, both Mango and Chikoo are together. You can add any fruit pieces that you like. We used cookie cutter to get the shapes going for the fruits.
    Ingredients
  2. Take the agar agar strands and put them in a cup of water. The water amount should be just enough to dissolve the strands. Boil this water until all the agar agar completely dissolves in the water to form the agar-agar solution.

  3. Filter this solution into another bowl.

  4. Add the cup of sugar to this bowl and heat it in low flame. Keep stirring until the sugar completely dissolves and stop the stove. At this point of time, you can even add any fruit essence or color essence to enhance the flavor and color. What we will get here is a simple transparent jelly.

  5. Take the fruits (of your choice as well) and cut them to shapes using a cookie cutter. Different shapes add a lot of value to the dish and drives kids crazy. You can add pieces of the fruits typically cut as well without shapes. But they should be small enough to get immersed into jelly.

  6. This is a very important step. Place the fruits in a small bowl and pour the agar agar solution into this bowl while the solution is still warm (note - it should not be too hot or cold. If it is hot, then the the fruits will loose its taste and if its cold, the solution will solidify soon).

  7. Once the solution is poured, let the jelly set by allowing it to cool for 10 minutes. Once set, refrigerate!
