Crab Masala Fry Recipe

If you are here with a penchant for Crab Masala Fry, you join an elite and unique group within seafood lovers. Not all go for a crab as they do for a fish, but hey, who brings the variety to seafood?

There are so many varieties of crab that you can cook that you will be surprised when you get to know the sources from where you get crab.

There are sea crabs, which is the obvious one. But you also get edible crabs from rivers, lakes, ponds -you name them. The fact is wherever there is a water source, chances are you can catch a crab if you really look for it and don’t go with fishing rod 🙂

And not only the sources, but within these, you get crabs in all different sizes and colors. And they all vary in different parts of the world and regions.

But one thing is common across all them. And that is,

“THEY TASTE AWESOME”

With that in mind, let’s see what we have got here. We used the standard large sea crab that we get here, and without any say, it always tastes great!

The Crab Masala Fry recipe might sound a bit different, but it is very very simple and easy to make. The base masala for this recipe is a common one that is used to cook other recipes – we simply have chosen the crab here. But that’s where all the great taste comes from. The crab with its outer hard shell and inner flesh forms a great combination and when it boils and mixes with the masala, all you need to do is eat quick!

Notes

  • Always cook from fresh products. Especially with seafood. Make sure the crab is fresh and you cook on the same day without refrigeration.
  • The masala should be prepared with minimum water so that the paste is thick and the aroma strong. This makes sure all the masala gets into the crab while sauteing.
  • You can mix this with white rice or any Indian Bread and eat it.
  • The same process can be used to make Prawn Masala Fry.
